A cool heritage from 1856. The roots themselves are white, and the flesh is tender and slightly sweet. Snowball is reminiscent to a rutabaga and can be cooked in the same way. An easy-to-grow variety that is excellent for cooking in many different ways.
Our gardening expert, Johanna Damm, often makes Carpaccio with this variety, paired with beets and almond pesto. A wonderful summery appetizer with that little extra!

Care and cultivation advice
The variety can be sown directly when the soil is warmed up. Be sure to water the soil before sowing and keep it moist through the germination period. To be able to harvest the whole season, we recommend sowing turnips repeatedly during the summer. The turnips can be harvested when they are about 5-8 cm.
The variety thrives in a sunny location in loamy soil.
