Care and cultivation advice

The variety can be sown directly in the planting site when the soil has warmed up or indoors in sowing soil from March to May. Try to keep the sowing at 18-20°C before germination and after germination, keep it cool and as bright as possible. The plants should be handled very carefully when transplanting as they are fragile.

Transplanting should be done when the plants have grown properly and the risk of frost is over. The plants should be topped at 8-10 cm for a more bushy appearance. Sweet peas thrive best in deep, well-drained, and fertile soil. They grow and flourish the most in a sunny and protected planting site.

Our best tip for succeeding with sweet peas is to pick the flowers, preferably every day. The more you pick, the more you get. For every sweet pea bouquet you pick, you will be rewarded with many more. If you do not pick the flowers, the sweet pea will instead focus all its energy on producing seed pods.

(Keep in mind that the variety needs support such as a trellis or a wall, and for longer blooming, the plant needs to be pruned a little as you go).
