Even though my garden is a big part of my job, it is a place for rest, there is something special about strolling around down here, everything grows slowly but yet so fast. Every day you discover something new and being able to create with your hands has always been like a meditation for me. When others go to Yoga, I tinker with my plants in the garden.

I love trying new things, sometimes I grow things I've never tried before but some favorites follow year after year. But every year I mix flowers that are perfect for cutting with vegetables. I never feel as proud and rich as when I have a whole row of artichokes or palm fronds that I've grown myself. Vegetables feel so powerful to grow in some way.

My garden is allowed to be messy, weeds thrive just as well in mine and I like that.

Perfect crops are not for me, but in late summer I want it to feel like a single jungle.

Picking your own bouquets, pulling up some carrots or standing and eating tomatoes straight from the greenhouse is incredible.

The garden is my creative oasis, here I can really disconnect from everything else. Sitting here and digging up all the plants late in the evenings in May is one of the best things I know, the thrill of having a whole new season ahead of me.. It's the best time.

I grow mostly just to be able to pick them as cut flowers.

Cosmos are my number 1, I love the variety in the bouquets that Cosmos give, but also how bushy and messy it gets down in the gardens.
